Privacy Policy

1. Information We Collect

JobManthan is a read-only information portal. You do not need to create an account to read, search, or share any page. We collect only the minimum information necessary to operate the website:

• Anonymous usage data. Standard server access logs — IP address, user agent, the page requested, and the timestamp. This is collected automatically by the web server and is used only for aggregate traffic analysis and abuse prevention.
• Theme preference. Your choice of dark or light theme is stored in your browser's localStorage. It never leaves your device.
• Sidebar collapse preference. Whether you prefer the sidebar collapsed or expanded is also stored in localStorage and never leaves your device.
• Information you submit via forms. When you use the feedback or report-incorrect-information forms on the Contact page, we receive the name, email, and message you provide. We use this information only to respond to your message and to correct the reported issue.

We do not collect your name, email, phone number, qualification, or any other personal information unless you voluntarily submit it through a form. We do not require registration, and we do not maintain user accounts.

2. Cookies

JobManthan uses a minimal set of cookies. We do not use cookies for cross-site tracking, behavioural profiling, or retargeting. The cookies we may set are:

• Essential cookies. Required for the website to function (e.g. session security tokens). These cannot be disabled if you want to use the site.
• Preference cookies. Store your theme choice and sidebar state. These are also stored in localStorage, so you may not see them in your browser's cookie manager.
• Analytics cookies (if analytics is enabled). See the next section.

We do not set advertising cookies ourselves. If a third-party ad network is used on the site, that network may set its own cookies; see the Advertisement section below.

3. Analytics

JobManthan may use a privacy-respecting analytics tool to understand aggregate traffic patterns — which pages are most read, which recruitments are most viewed, what search terms bring visitors, and what devices they use. This data is anonymised at the collection point and is never tied to your name, email, or any other personally identifiable information.

If we use a third-party analytics service (such as a self-hosted Matomo instance or Google Analytics), the service's privacy policy will apply to the data it collects. We configure the analytics tool to anonymise IP addresses and to respect Do-Not-Track signals wherever supported.

4. Advertisement

JobManthan may display banner advertisements to support the cost of operation. We use reputable ad networks that comply with industry standards. Ad networks may use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this and other websites.

We never permit ads that disguise themselves as recruitment notifications, application buttons, or official download links. Ads are clearly labelled and visually separated from editorial content. If you encounter an ad that violates this principle, please report it via the Contact page and we will remove it.

Third-party ad vendors, including Google AdSense, may use cookies to serve ads based on a user's prior visits to JobManthan or other websites. Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads based on your visit to this site and/or other sites on the internet. You may opt out of personalised advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings or aboutads.info/choices.

5. User Data

Because JobManthan does not require registration, we hold very little user data. The only personally identifiable information we ever hold is what you voluntarily submit via the contact forms — your name, your email, and your message. We use this information solely to:

• Respond to your enquiry or feedback.
• Investigate and correct any reported inaccurate information on the site.
• Investigate and respond to reports of abuse, copyright infringement, or terms-of-service violations.

We do not sell, rent, or share your submitted information with any third party for marketing purposes. We retain form submissions for up to 12 months for record-keeping and audit purposes, after which they are permanently deleted.

6. Data Security

We take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect the information we hold:

• The website is served exclusively over HTTPS (TLS 1.2+). Plain HTTP requests are automatically redirected to HTTPS.
• Server access is restricted to authorised personnel and protected by multi-factor authentication.
• Server access logs are rotated regularly and access to them is limited.
• The contact forms do not transmit sensitive information (such as passwords or payment details) — please never include such information in a form submission.
• Database backups are encrypted at rest and access-controlled.

No method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure. While we strive to protect your information, we cannot guarantee absolute security. In the unlikely event of a data breach affecting your submitted information, we will notify you and the relevant authorities in accordance with applicable law.

7. Third-Party Services

JobManthan links to and embeds content from several third-party services. Each of these services has its own privacy policy, which governs how they handle your data:

• Recruiting-body websites. When you click "Apply Now" or "Official Notification", you leave JobManthan and visit the recruiting body's own website. Their privacy policy applies from that point onward.
• Ad networks. If ads are displayed, the ad network's privacy policy governs the cookies it sets. See the Advertisement section above.
• Analytics providers. If a third-party analytics service is used, its privacy policy applies to the data it collects on our behalf.
• Social-share buttons. When you click a share button (WhatsApp, Telegram, Facebook, etc.), the destination platform's privacy policy applies.

We encourage you to read the privacy policies of every third-party service you interact with.

8. Children's Privacy

JobManthan is intended for use by individuals aged 18 years and older — the typical age of a government job aspirant. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If you believe we have inadvertently collected such information, please contact us and we will promptly delete it.

9. Your Rights

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the right to:

• Request access to the personal information we hold about you.
• Request correction of any inaccurate personal information.
• Request deletion of your personal information (subject to legal record-keeping obligations).
• Opt out of personalised advertising by configuring your browser or visiting the opt-out links in the Advertisement section.
• Object to the processing of your personal information for direct marketing.

To exercise any of these rights, write to support@jobmanthan.in. We respond to all verified requests within 30 days.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page will always reflect the most recent revision. If we make material changes — changes that affect what we collect or how we use it — we will display a prominent notice on the homepage for at least 30 days.
